Job Description: Diagnose diseases and disorders in avian species; recommend treatments when appropriate and when requested; act as a resource person to other commonwealth agencies relative to avian/poultry matters; provide expertise when requested regarding public health issues involving avian species; monitor various types of avian activity and situations relative to public health and animal health within the poultry industry, and provide necessary expertise when requested; provide expertise and consultation to practicing veterinarians and citizens of the commonwealth on avian matters.
